State of NY Files Tax Warrant Against Rep-elect Ann Marie Buerkle: Failure to Pay Taxes Again
Today’s Syracuse Post-Standard reports that the State of New York recently issued a warrant for Representative-elect Ann Marie Buerkle for failing to pay her taxes…again. Despite repeatedly making fiscal responsibility a focus of her campaign and signing the taxpayer protection pledge to attempt to earn the trust of taxpayers, Representative-elect Ann Marie Buerkle was late on thousands of dollars in taxes while lining her own campaign coffers with $28,000 of her own money.
“Taxpayers can’t trust Representative-elect Ann Marie Buerkle to follow through on her promises of fiscal responsibility when she repeatedly doesn’t pay her taxes,” said Ryan Rudominer of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “People don’t like paying taxes, but unlike us Representative-elect Ann Marie Buerkle just ignored them and then lent her campaign $28,000. If Representative-elect Ann Marie Buerkle won’t pay her taxes, there is no way she will do what it takes to get the economy back on track.”
