Ron Barber Leads Martha McSally by Double Digits in New AZ-02 Poll
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today released a new Grove Insight poll that shows Ron Barber (AZ-02) with a commanding 14-point lead over Martha McSally. Barber remains well over the 50 percent threshold with 54 percent of the vote while McSally trails with 40 percent. Only 6 percent remain undecided in this race.
Barber is popular in his district - voters know him and a majority of voters have a favorable impression of him. However, McSally is much more divisive with only 38 percent having a favorable opinion of her.
Cook Political Report currently rates this district as “Likely Democratic” and Rothenberg Report rates this district as “Democrat Favored.”
“Southern Arizonans are making up their mind and are rejecting the Martha McSally plan that ends Medicare to pay for tax breaks for millionaires,” said Stephen Carter of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “With only a few weeks to go, Martha McSally’s support of the toxic Republican budget is sinking her campaign and voters are learning her agenda is bad for Medicare and the middle class.
