Representative Young Votes No on Economic Recovery, Then Features “Stimulus Funding” on Website

Representative Bill Young voted no on the economic recovery package, but that has not stopped him from prominently featuring the economic recovery law on his website.

"What Representative Bill Young may lack in solutions to grow Florida's economy, he more than makes up for in hypocrisy by promoting the economic recovery package that he opposed," said Jessica Santillo, Southern Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "What Representative Young's website doesn't want you to know is that in reality, he said ‘no' to creating and saving Florida jobs, ‘no' to cutting taxes for hardworking Floridians, and ‘no' to investing in the state's infrastructure."

Young's website highlights a page called "Stimulus Funding" with 34 links to resources that help Floridians take advantage of the economic recovery funds.
