Representative Heller Just Says ‘No’ to Major Roads Improvements Throughout Northern Nevada
In a remarkable move, Representative Dean Heller voted against at least $65 million in major road improvements that will put Nevadans to work and will make it easier to travel along parts of I-80 and Routes 93, 95 and 318 across Elko, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Nye, and Pershing Counties.
"Twice, Representative Heller could have voted to support major improvements to the transportation network throughout Northern Nevada and to put Nevadans to work. And twice, Heller just said ‘no,' to Elko, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Nye, and Pershing Counties," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
At least $65 million in funding for safety and maintenance projects along parts of I-80 and Routes 93, 95, and 318 across Elko, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Nye, and Pershing Counties was included in the landmark economic recovery package that was recently signed into law.
