Reichert and Boehner: Joining Forces Against 8th District Families

Demonstrating yet again just how out of touch Representative Dave Reichert is, this evening he’ll fill his campaign coffers with help from none other than Minority Leader John Boehner –one week after Boehner’s now infamous comparison of Wall Street reform to "killing an ant with a nuclear weapon."

By standing with Boehner to raise campaign cash just days after voting against Wall Street reform, Reichert has made it clear that he’ll support the Wall Street financiers and Big Banks that caused our financial crisis rather than the hardworking families and businesses hit hardest by it.

"When it comes to their support for putting Wall Street’s agenda ahead of the interests of hardworking families in Washington, Representative Dave Reichert and Minority Leader John Boehner are two peas in a pod," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "The fact that Reichert would invite one of the Wall Street interests’ biggest defenders to headline his fundraiser proves out of touch Reichert is with Washington families digging their way out of this economic mess."
