“New” Jim Tedisco Offers More of the Same Double Speak

"Tedisco said Thursday he's taking control of the content of his advertising from the National Republican Congressional Committee..."

"Tedisco said going forward the content of his ads will be more positive with him making the decisions instead of the national party." [Glen Falls Post Star, 3/12/09]

The NRCC launches another attack [NRCC Press Release, 3/13/09].

"I know that Jim appreciates their assistance and support,"

-Tedisco spokesman on national involvement.  [The Hill, 3/14/09]

Tedisco is "unwilling to say the NRCC should pull its negative" ads.  [Planet Albany, 3/14/09].

"The ‘new' Jim Tedisco is the same as the old Jim Tedisco, a career Albany politician.  This latest stunt is clearly an attempt to change the subject from Tedisco's refusal to support President Obama's recovery package," said Jennifer Crider, Communications Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  "Career Albany politician Tedisco created a job for a campaign contributor that pays a six figure salary at the expense of taxpayers and is now giving voters more double speak when it comes to the negative ads that he publicly opposes."
