New CO-06 Poll Shows Statistical Tie, Clear Path to Victory for Joe Miklosi

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today released a new automated poll that shows a very tight race for Colorado’s 6th Congressional District.  In the head to head matchup, Joe Miklosi trails Congressman Mike Coffman by just three points – 39 percent for Miklosi and 42 percent for Coffman – despite Coffman’s incumbent status.

This race is a statistical tie despite Congressman Coffman holding an overwhelming name recognition advantage.  Congressman Coffman’s total name recognition stands at 83 percent while Joe Miklosi is comparatively less known at this point.  As more voters get to know Joe Miklosi, he’ll be well positioned for victory in November.

“Voters are clearly rejecting Congressman Mike Coffman’s extreme agenda that chooses millionaires over Medicare and seniors,” said Stephen Carter of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  “Congressman Coffman’s out-of-touch positions – like banning all abortions even in cases of rape and barring access to many forms of birth control – are wrong for Colorado and wrong for the middle class.”
