House Democrats: More Races District by District

More district by district polls are showing Democrats in a strong position for November.  Here are some highlights of the recent polling:

DCCC Independent Expenditure Polls

Carney Leading Urquhart by 18 in New DE-AL Poll

A new Grove Insight poll shows John Carney leading Republican challenger Glen Urquhart by 18 points.  In the initial head-to-head in the race for Delaware’s at-large congressional district, Carney leads Urquhart 50 to 32 percent.  Conducted September 15-18, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. Garcia Leading Rivera by 7 in New FL-25 Poll

A new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research poll shows Joe Garcia leading Republican challenger David Rivera by 7 points.  In the initial head-to-head in the race for Florida’s 25th congressional district, Garcia leads Rivera 40 percent to 33 percent.  Whig Party candidate Craig Porter and Tea Party Candidate Roly Arrojo each received 2 percent and 7 percent respectively.  Conducted September 12-19, the poll surveyed 404 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. Causey Leading Crawford in New AR-01 Poll

A new Anzalone Liszt Research poll shows Chad Causey leading Republican challenger Rick Crawford.   In the initial head-to-head in the race for Arkansas’ 1st congressional district, Causey leads Crawford 46 percent to 44 percent. Conducted September 13-16, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. [DCCC Release, 9/20/10]

Marshall Leading Scott by 12 in New GA-08 Poll

A new Grove Insight poll shows Representative Jim Marshall leading Republican challenger Austin Scott by 12 points.  In the initial head-to-head in the race for Georgia’s 8th congressional district, Marshall leads Scott 48 to 36 percent.  Conducted September 13-15, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and has a 4.9 percent margin of error. Arcuri Leads Hanna by 8 in New NY-24 Poll

A new Siena Research Institute  poll shows Representative Michael Arcuri leading Republican challenger Richard Hanna by 8 percent.  Arcuri leads Hanna 48 percent to 40 percent.  Conducted September 13-15, the poll surveyed 605 likely voters and has 4.0 percent margin of error. Murphy Leads Gibson by 17 in New NY-20 Poll

A new Siena Research Institute  poll shows Representative Scott Murphy leading Republican challenger Chris Gibson by 17 percent.  Murphy leads Gibson 54 percent to 37 percent.  Conducted September 12-14, the poll surveyed 603 likely voters and has 4.0 percent margin of error. Dingell Leads Steele by 19 in New MI-15 Poll

A new Detroit News/Local 4 WDIV poll shows Representative John Dingell leading Republican challenger Rob Steele by 19 percent.  Dingell leads Steele 49 percent to 30 percent.  Conducted September 15-16, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters. [Politico, 9/20/10]

Kratovil Leads Harris by 6 in New MD-01 Poll

A new Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group poll shows Representative Frank Kratovil leading Republican challenger Andy Harris by 6 percent.  Kratovil leads Harris 45 percent to 39 percent.  Conducted September 12-13, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and had a 5 percent margin of error. Pomeroy Leads Berg in new ND-AL Poll

A new Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group poll shows Representative Earl Pomeroy leading Republican challenger Rick Berg.  Pomeroy leads Berg 46 percent to 44 percent.  Conducted September 10-12, the poll surveyed 501 likely voters and had a 4.5 percent margin of error. Heck Statistically Tied with Herrera in new WA-03 Poll

A new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner poll shows Denny Heck statistically tied with Republican challenger Jaime Herrera, even though Heck has faced hundreds of thousands of dollars in negative TV ads from right-wing groups.  Heck received 44 percent and Herrera received 47 percent.  Conducted September 7-9, the poll surveyed 502 likely voters and had a 4.4 margin of error. Chandler Leads Barr by 20 in New KY-06 Poll

A new Mellman Group poll shows Representative Ben Chandler leading Republican challenger Andy Barr by 20 percent.  Chandler leads Barr 53 percent to 33 percent.  Conducted September 13-14, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and had a 4.9 margin of error. [Roll Call; 9/21/10]

Davis Leads DesJarlais by 11 in TN-04 Poll

A Brodnitz, Benson Strategy Group poll shows Representative Lincoln Davis leading Republican challenger Scott DesJarlais by 11 percent.  Davis leads DesJarlais 51 percent to 40 percent.  Conducted August 24-26, the poll surveyed 400 likely voters and had a 4.9 percent margin of error.
