Fact Check: Tedisco’s Shady Contributors

Career Albany politician Jim Tedisco can say what he wants about where his contributions come from but the facts tell another story.  One of Jim Tedisco's biggest campaign contributors is a convicted felon, and the career politician even wrote a letter requesting a lighter sentence on the contributor's behalf. 

RHETORIC: Jim Tedisco says he gets donations from average, everyday people. 

REALITY: Jim Tedisco's fifth largest contributor from 1999 to 2008 is a convicted felon. 

Jim Tedisco's fifth highest contributor from 1999 to 2008 was convicted of mortgage fraud; Tedisco wrote a letter requesting a lighter sentence.  Tedisco Wrote Letter requesting Lighter Sentencing for David Silipigno who was Convicted of Defrauding Mortgages.
