Exposed: Career Insider Rodney Davis Deletes Damaging Tweets

An independent watchdog group revealed that career political insider Rodney Davis tried to cover his tracks, deleting damaging tweets that were factually inaccurate. The Sunlight Foundation noted it was “unusual” to see so many tweets deleted at once and showed how many of the tweets were billed as “fact checks,” but weren’t even close to true.

This isn’t the first time Davis deleted old tweets in a failed attempt to hide his record. After Party insiders chose him as the Republican nominee, Davis deleted a tweet celebrating Paul Ryan’s budget that ends the Medicare guarantee and raises taxes on middle class families.

“Career political insider Rodney Davis just got caught red-handed papering over his record because it’s clear he cares more about his political ambition than the truth,” said Haley Morris of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Career insider Rodney Davis can tweet, but he can’t hide the truth about his out of touch agenda that puts partisanship first and raises taxes on the middle class.”
