Eric Cantor Admits the Republican Party “Needs the Rush Limbaughs”
In the latest sign of just how deeply out of touch the Republican Party is with mainstream Americans, this week House Republican Whip Eric Cantor admitted that Republicans ‘needs the Rush Limbaughs.' Eric Cantor's remarks come as Congressional Republicans and the far-right continues to obstruct health insurance reform through scare tactics and false attacks.
"Considering that the Republican Party of No is committed to killing health insurance reform and protecting big insurance companies through scare tactics and false information, it's hardly surprising that House Republican Whip Eric Cantor thinks Republicans need more advice from angry, fringe voices on the extreme right wing of their party," said Ryan Rudominer, National Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "Instead of praising Rush Limbaugh who openly roots for President Obama to fail, Eric Cantor and the outdated Republican Party of No should finally offer the American people solutions to the current economic crisis that their failed policies created."
