DCCC Begins New Phone Calls: Danny Tarkanian Out for Danny Tarkanian

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is launching new automated phone calls today warning Nevada voters that Republican congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian (NV-04) is only out for himself. Despite the fact that Tarkanian still owes $17 million for a failed land deal, he’s pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into his campaigns. Now the FDIC is moving to seize assets belonging to Tarkanian, yet he wants Nevada voters to trust him to be fiscally responsible in Washington.

The script of the call follows:

Hello, this is Julie from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. When a judge ordered congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian to pay $17 million in debts from a failed real estate deal, he refused - despite the fact that he has poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into his political campaigns.

Now, his assets could be seized and he's endangered his entire family's livelihood.

How can we trust Danny Tarkanian with our tax dollars when he’s more focused on getting elected than minding his own finances?

Danny Tarkanian thinks he should get to play by a different set of rules than the rest of Nevadans. But we have to pay our bills, and so should he.

Washington is already a mess, and we simply can’t afford Danny’s irresponsible ways.
