Bono Mack Opposes Millions in New Recovery Package Funding Headed to the Coachella Valley
"Promises, promises. We're bombarded with them every day from politicians. Sometimes they seem to be just words, but sometimes they translate into actual action."
That, according to a recent editorial in the Palm Springs Desert Sun in which the newspaper applauded the economic recovery package funding headed to the Coachella Valley, including the first shovel-ready transportation enhancement project in all of Riverside County to receive stimulus funds.
"Unfortunately for her constituents in a region with double-digit unemployment, Mary Bono Mack fulfilled her promise, too, twice opposing the economic recovery package that is creating or saving thousands of jobs in Riverside County, providing the largest tax cut in American history to hardworking families in the Coachella Valley - and funding the construction of new infrastructure to provide local residents water that meets safety standards," said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
