Architects of the Reckless Shutdown Bankroll Frank Guinta’s Campaign

Congressman Frank Guinta isn’t wasting any time getting cozy with the reckless right wing leadership that brought on the irresponsible shutdown.  The lead architects of the reckless government shutdown – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy – held a $500-a-person fundraiser for their reliable Tea Party ally Frank Guinta today at the exclusive Capitol Hill Club in Washington, DC.

“The lead architects of the reckless shutdown are already bankrolling their ally Frank Guinta’s campaign so they can get another rubberstamp to help them the next time they throw another Tea Party temper tantrum,” said Marc Brumer of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  “Today Frank Guinta is shamelessly running to the Tea Party’s top brass in Washington and already pledging his allegiance to their reckless antics and irresponsible brinksmanship that continue to plague the economy, hurt hardworking families and threaten New Hampshire jobs.  Instead of running to Washington to collect Tea Party campaign cash and kissing the ring of the people who brought on the irresponsible shutdown, Frank Guinta should be asking his Tea Party benefactors to stop their reckless agenda.”

Cantor and McCarthy to be “Special Guests” at $500 per Person Guinta DC Fundraiser. “Former U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta has landed two of the most powerful members of the U.S. House Republican majority for a Washington, D.C. fund-raiser next Wednesday. The Granite Status has learned Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy will be ‘special guests’ at a reception supporting Guinta's bid to return to the House next year. The $500-a-person and $1,000-a-PAC fund-raiser will be held at the Capitol Hill Club.” [Union Leader, 11/7/13]
