Campaign 2010

More Burma?

You may have read here (or elsewhere) last week that President Bush is making some of his campaign material in Burma - in violation of his own law.

Now we find that the head of the company making those fleeces happens to be the campaign manager of Rep. Anne Northup (R-KY3).  Maybe that’s why her issues page doesn’t include jobs- unless “faith-based initiatives” refers to the President’s employment plan.

Chairman Matsui’s statement:

“It’s no wonder Louisville has lost over 20,000 jobs under George Bush and Anne Northup when her campaign chairman is peddling Bush-Cheney campaign fleece jackets made in Burma, not by American workers.  However, Kentucky workers are the people who have been truly fleeced by Bush and Northup’s failure to create a single net job in four years.”
