DCCC Poll Shows Congressman Cravaack & Tea Party Allies’ Best Shots Against Nolan Falling Flat

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Independent Expenditure released a new Global Strategy Group poll showing that despite the $1.5 million of special interest attacks on Rick Nolan, the race is a dead heat at 42 percent. Republicans and secret corporate funded special interest super PACs have tried their best to tear down Nolan, but only managed to keep the race tied. The DCCC’s poll also reveals Nolan has more room to grow with Democrats leading the generic ballot 43 percent to 40 percent and Senator Amy Klobuchar winning by 27 points.

“Tea Party Congressman Chip Cravaack and his secret corporate special interest allies have done their best to tear down Rick Nolan with bogus attack ads, and they’ve failed,” said Haley Morris of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Congressman Chip Cravaack’s Tea Party record of ending the Medicare guarantee just to pay more for tax breaks for millionaires like himself is out of touch with Minnesota and leaves him with nothing to run on. As Nolan continues to introduce himself to voters and show how he will stand up to the Republican Tea Party majority in Washington, he will bring this race home.”
